Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Jennifer Hannig is a professor at the Department of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Data Processing (MND) at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen – University of Applied Sciences in Friedberg and the Hessian Center for Artificial Intelligence (hessian.AI). In 2024, she received a grant from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) to establish the junior research group “TimeXAI: Explainable Artificial Intelligence for Time Series”.

Jennifer obtained her Bachelor’s (2011) and Master’s (2013) degrees in Bioinformatics and completed her doctorate in the research groups of Prof. Ina Koch and Ivan Đikić at Goethe University Frankfurt.
